Treehouse Adventures News: June 2017

June 6, 2017

AMAZING! There is just no other way to describe the month of May here at WTA. You may remember that last month, I told you about three very special and exciting events that we had planned. Well I’m here on the other side of those events to tell you that they were very successful, and we had a blast during each one of them.

Our end-of-the-year program was a hit with the children and families alike. The students shared some of what they learned and entertained us in the process. All of the classes recited the class scripture that they had memorized this year. In addition, they all sang or recited songs, chants and positive word affirmations. While the entire program had a Circus theme, the finale by our oldest class was to perform various circus acts. It was truly a program for and by children If you were unable to attend this year, I hope that you will join us next year.

Graduation is always a special time during the school year. It was no exception here at WTA on May 23, 2017. We celebrated our students in the Owls class who will entering Kindergarten in the fall. There was only one small hiccup in the day. I got sick over the weekend and couldn’t attend on Tuesday. I am so grateful for Mr. Ken who stepped in to serve as host and announcer for the ceremony. In addition, we were fortunate to have several other people who stepped in to help. Thank you to Pastor Marie for being in attendance to visit with the parents. Also, a huge thank you to Melody for taking pictures and to Jane Lamb for help with refreshments.

Finally, on May 25, 2017, we ended the year with a Field Day and outdoor, water play day. Sprinklers, wading pools, water balloons, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, a crawling tunnel, and several games made the day. If you want to know how it went, ask Pastor Marie. When she came out several of the children greeted her with water balloons. That tells me that as she has ministered to and taught the children in Chapel Time this year that they have really grown to love her and see her as their friend who likes to have fun.

Praising God for a year to remember,
Debbie

He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
