Enrollment and Playground Equipment Update

At the end of the month of June I ended the WTA Newsleker Article with three specific prayer requests and this scripture. “But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 (KJV)

The requests mentioned were as follows. First, I ask God to give us increase in our enrollment. Second, I asked that God would grant our teachers and me the love, compassion, and knowledge to serve the children He sends us. Third, I ask that God would guide me as I searched for funding sources for money to build a proper playground here at The Woods UMC.

At the end of last school year, we had forty-one children attending WTA. Nine of those children graduated. Two children moved a great distance from our area. We have five that are now in full time programs, and we have three of whom we are unsure as to their status. Now before you panic because that seems drear, let me tell you that we currently have fifty children enrolled. There is reason to believe that we will see that number increase, as August is usually the month with the largest numbers of enrollment for new students.

Our teachers continue to amaze me as they ask for meetings with me to discuss their classrooms and their teaching plans for the coming year. They are indeed a group that is on fire to teach. I thank God for them, and ask that you continue to pray for them during the school year.

I have received information from two different playground equipment companies on funding sources via grants. I am beginning the process of trying to determine which sources are likely to fund a request from a religious organization. Once that is done, the long process of gathering data for the grant request will begin.

Please keep praying,
Debbie
