Exciting days are here again at WTA!
After a summer of preparation, on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 6:30 p.m., we opened our building and The Woods Treehouse Adventures (WTA) classrooms for Open House. We started in the Sanctuary where the parents and children gathered to be greeted by me as director of WTA. After a prayer, I introduced my invaluable helper, Ken Freeman. Following a quick wave from Ken, I introduced Pastor Eric Folkerth. After thanking the parents for entrusting their precious children to us, Eric offered some very nice compliments about WTA and invited any families who might be looking for a church home to visit us here at The Woods. Then I introduced the teachers and dismissed the families and the teachers to the classrooms for a few words from the teachers and some fun activities that had been planned for the evening.
Here is an interesting fact about me, the WTA support personnel (one paid and one volunteer), and the WTA teachers. Of the nine people who constitute this group, seven are members of The Woods, one is a regular attendee and worker in our nursery, and the final one is a worker in our nursery. I would call that a family affair!
The pictures here are of our empty classrooms, but rest assured they will be bursting with life on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. You are always welcome to pop in to see what is going on. We just ask that you stop by the WTA Office, which is located downstairs, or ask Lee in the main office to call me so that I may accompany you as you visit the classrooms. You are also welcome to volunteer in the school. Call me at 972-602-9494 option #2. Please leave a message if we are out of the office.
