“Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be known in all the earth.
Shout aloud and sing for joy, O royal Zion,
for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.
Music is an integral part of the worship life at The Woods United Methodist Church. From traditional hymn singing to the most current praise music, you will find the presence of God’s spirit in worship at The Woods. The mission of The Woods Music Ministry is to bring the congregation to greater faith in Jesus Christ through music and the word.
Music Ministry staff and volunteers serve God with great joy as they…Sing to the Lord a New Song!
Voice of the Woods Choir

Rehearsals are held in the Open Door room on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Sisters in Spirit
Sisters in Spirit is a five member women’s ensemble, blending dynamic harmonies and complex women’s choral arrangements to the worship experience. “SiS” performs various styles of music and also features secular selections in its repertoire, which are used in non-worship settings.
The Woods Bell Choir
The Bell Choir at The Woods brings a sparkling musical prayer to begin our worship services.
The Bell Choir plays at the beginning of both services once a month from September through June playing a wide range of styles from contemporary to classical.
Rehearsals are held in the sanctuary on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m.
The BlueGrace Band leads the music for The Renew Worship service each week at 11:00 a.m. The group consists of experienced worship leaders with extensive music backgrounds, giving them the ability to provide a wide range of musical styles for worship. Gospel, jazz, blues are combined with traditional hymns, folk music, rock/pop and a taste of world music to be used by BlueGrace in worship.
And yes…we have a banjo player!
“Sing to him a new song;
play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.”
